Terms & Conditions – Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd

1. Services

Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd provides shot blasting, powder coating, and Cerakote services (“the Services”) to customers under the terms set out herein. All services are performed to professional standards and industry practices.

2. Quotations & Acceptance

Any quote provided is valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Acceptance of a quote constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
Work will not commence until any required deposits or payments are received.

3. Warranty

Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd provides a warranty on workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion.
This warranty covers defects in the workmanship of the applied coating only.

Reporting periods:

Customers must notify [Your Company Name] within 14 days of completion if they are unhappy with minor cosmetic imperfections (e.g., small specks, dust in the coating).
Claims for functional coating failures (e.g., peeling, flaking, adhesion issues) must be made within 12 months from the date of completion.

The warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, impact, corrosion, or improper handling
Natural wear and tear, fading, or exposure to harsh chemicals or environments
Any pre-existing issues not identified before the service
Items that have been shot blasted but not subsequently coated, as these items may rust immediately
Cerakote adhesion failures or cosmetic imperfections on mild or aged steel due to rust, pitting, corrosion, or other pre-existing surface defects

Any warranty claim must be made in writing and accompanied by proof of service and purchase.
Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd’s sole obligation under warranty is to repair or reapply the affected coating at our discretion.

4. Cerakote on Mild or Aged Steel

Cerakote coatings require a properly prepared surface to adhere correctly.
Mild steel, particularly older or rusted steel, may have pitting, corrosion, or contaminants that can affect adhesion and finish.
Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd will perform reasonable surface preparation, but cannot guarantee adhesion or cosmetic perfection on compromised or aged steel.
Any failure resulting from pre-existing conditions of the steel is not covered under the standard warranty.
Customers are responsible for disclosing any known surface defects. Additional surface preparation is available as a paid service to improve adhesion and appearance.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must ensure all items to be coated are free of contaminants, oils, or debris unless otherwise agreed.
Customers must provide accurate specifications for coatings, colours, or finishes.
Items left unclaimed for more than 60 days after completion may incur storage fees at the company’s discretion.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that blasted items are coated promptly; any items returned uncoated are not covered under warranty.

6. Liability

Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the services.
Liability for any claim is limited to the value of the service provided.
The customer is responsible for any loss or damage during transit unless transport is provided by Kirdford Shot Blasting Ltd.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due in accordance with the agreed quote.
Late payments may incur interest or service suspension until settled.

8. Changes & Cancellations

Any changes to the scope of work must be agreed in writing.
Cancellation of services may incur a fee depending on work already performed or materials used.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wale].
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England.
